The old Jewish cemetery is one of the most beautiful parts of the entire Central Cemetery and the final resting place of around 80,000 people. The graves of many prominent figures such as Arthur Schnitzler, Friedrich Torberg and Gerhard Bronner are part of the tour, as are the basics of Jewish customs and grave symbolism. The old Jewish cemetery is alive — many animals have found a refuge here. Good footwear is highly recommended for this fascinating tour, as we will also walk a little off the paved paths.
